Once, on the ruins of the Censorship Headquarters, in joint venture with Polish Press Agency (PAP), Von der Heyden Group built the ‘Liberty Corner’ building, the symbol of freedom, the symbol of free market economy and co-operation between companies and people of diverse nationalities. We feel very honoured that on June 5, 2014 under the Patronage of the President of Poland, Mr Bronisław Komorowski, the idea of freedom spread into ‘Free Word Memorial’ at the ‘Free Word Square’.
Sven von der Heyden, Chairman of Von der Heyden Group, said:
‘When thinking about our nearly 25 years of positive experience in Poland I tend to get sentimental at times. When we invented at the time the name ‘Liberty Corner’ for our flagship-development as an exclamation mark behind the destruction of the former communistic censorship office, we could have not paid enough tribute to this brave country. It is nice to see that the Mysia square has received the biggest distinction being called ‘Free Word Square’ and now also received the ‘Free Word Memorial’. May Poland and the Von der Heyden Group prosper for the next quarter of the century’.
